This is my 1000th post. Yep. You read that right. One thousand posts. Some more interesting than others; some containing a little bit more of me than others, but 1000 posts. That's a lot. Want to know a secret? I kind of finagled it to coincide with my four-year blog anniversary, so we could all celebrate with giveaways!
Today's giveaway is a fat quarter bundle in a rainbow of beautiful colors and prints. The fabrics are from my stash and have been washed, pressed and squared up, which means that I use the term "fat quarter" loosely, depending on how much shrinkage there was and how far off grain the fabric was pulled. In the spirit of full disclosure, they are all between 15½" and 18" long and 22"ish inches wide. There are a couple of Robert Kaufmann Modern Living prints, a Joel Dewberry and everything is Quilt Shop quality.

I hate that I have been too busy to ready your blog...I miss it. :(
ReplyDeleteWow, I am the first! I love to read blogs and pin ideas to Pinterest. This year my goal is to actually try some of the ideas I covet! And of course, I love to craft and sew; always looking for inspiration. Love your giveaway, I think a rainbow doll quilt for a niece would be fun to make with it!
ReplyDeleteRead! Novels, online news, blogs, magazines... Anything! Thanks for a wonderful giveaway and I look forward to your next 1000 posts.

ReplyDeleteOh my, that pretty bundle is absolutely delicious! Love that red on top, and the orange...and the green...okay all of it!
ReplyDeleteSo, favorite thing to do in my free time...probably read the internet. Sewing is right up there too, but in all honesty, I'm more likely to lazily head to the office chair and fire up Firefox. So there it is. And I suppose how much free time I have is a factor. 15 minutes? Internet. Two hours? Sew.
I love it when the fabric is ready to be pieced and I have the house to myself and can do just that. Thanks for the great giveaways!
ReplyDeleteMy relaxing thing to do is sew, I love it, thanks
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous bundle! I like to read a book, or plan a new sewing project in my spare time. :-)

ReplyDeleteI love you blog it is great!!! Thanks for sharing so much with us all. In my free time I like to quilt. It seems like I don't get enough time to quilt but whenever I can I take advantage of it and quilt my heart out.
ReplyDeleteWell, my favorite thing to do is counted cross stitch. I love piecing quilts, but my machine is in the sewing room and I can cross stitch while sitting next to my husband while he watches TV. But I plan to get more piecing done this year. I want to do a quilted tablecloth this year and finish some already started quilts. Thanks for this great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI love to be with my husband and do fun things with my family, with chocolate of course :)
ReplyDeleteI like to read or bake treats! I also like to do crafts! :)
ReplyDeleteIf I'm not sewing or finding things to refashion, I love to read. One of my daughters (we have 4 counting our DIL, and 1 son)and I love to go to the different library's for their old book sales. They really are great! It's been a number of years now since we started going... prices are right... usually not more than $2.00 a book... most are $1.00 or 50 for paperbacks. So, I borrow from her vise/versa.... Reading is great!

I always have 3 or 4 quilting or sewing projects in the works, so that's what I do in my spare time--I retreat into my sewing space and sew to my heart's content...until my mommy duties call again! :) Congrats on the 100th post, what an accomplishment!!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite thing to do when I have time away from family life or my job as a teacher is craft of all sorts. I always have several projects on the go at any time, bagged and ready to go with me anywhere. I especially love appliqué at the moment and am searching projects that I can make using it. Quilting, cushions, notebooks and gifts are all on the list.
ReplyDeleteI love your tutorials, they have helped me so much. Thanks.
Congrats on the 1,000th post. I like to read in my spare time. Thanks for the chance to win.
