Oh s{NO}w!

A lot of people like snow. I find it to be an unnecessary freezing of water. –Carl Reiner

Remember that lovely hint of spring last week? It was just to tease us all. Friday we woke up to 6" of new snow and it snowed pretty much all day Saturday. It was a wet snow, and will melt away again soon. The days are clear and cold now, with white as far as the eye can see. It is a bit bleak. So I make an offering to appease the Snow and perhaps tempt it into hibernation. This is my tribute to this and all winters past.

InsideOut a Cappella - In the Sun They Melted (Snowmen II)

Once there was a snowman tall, tall, tall.

In the sun he melted small, small, small.

And that's one of the benefits of snow- gorgeous pictures. You cant take them where I live because a picture of a dead grass man isnt really the same, and in winter it's hard to make a rain man stand up.

Beautiful post Elizabeth.

We are crossing our fingers for no more snow but chances are really good that we will at least get dusted on last time. Yesterday, it was so warm we were under a tornado watch most of the day. Weird weather!

I second Shay's comment. ;)
We actually had snow in the forecast this weekend, something not seen in these parts since the 1930s, but the rain and the sub freezing temps did not synchronize their watches. :(
We had snow on Mt. Diablo for a week (10 min from me as the crow flies) but we had a sicky girl at the time and now it's all melted. Same thing happened the one week last year. :( The alternative is a 4 hr aggravating drive up to Tahoe area.
At least we have green everywhere instead of brown. :)
I have a snowman fetish. Especially like Ladybug's little guy in that last pic. =D

What fun pictures! Pictures of snow fun are the only reason I like snow. : ) But I sure do like those pictures.

Cute pictures through the years! Having young kids to play in it definitely makes snow more fun. By the way, I'm behind in my comments, but belated happy birthday to LadyBug! Hope she had a great day.
